Behind all of our kitchen makeovers there is extensive planning for kitchen refacing. Our professional team will be there along every step of the way to assist you. After the consultation and you decide to move forward with your kitchen renovation the fun begins. One of our friendly staff members will come out to measure for opening sizes, drawer depths, linear footage of trim work, refacing material, count openings for doors and drawers. Also, any modifications to existing cabinetry and draft out all plans for replacing rotten cabinet bottoms (under the sink is majority of new bottom replacements), roll outs (shelf roll out and trash roll outs). If your dream kitchen has a Lazy Susan or any other addition it is also accounted and measured for. Then once everything has been drafted for your kitchen renovation a order becomes placed and we get an exact lead time which is generally 2 - 3 weeks.
Installation Process-
Your kitchen must have everything removed from cabinets and drawers!
All protection of countertops, floors, appliances are covered to protect from dust and debris. Plastic goes up to seal your kitchen off from other rooms. Everything is stripped and sanded to bare wood for a stronger bond with our refacing material. All modifications are professionally built on site and installed before any new cabinet bottoms are flushed out or any refacing material is installed. Once all modifications are completed our trained and highly skilled field installers will begin installing the refacing and you will notice the transformation of your kitchen renovation come to life. All bottoms are flushed out, toe kick, and refacing is installed. We then install all drawer slides, drawer boxes, faces, doors, and all crafted trim work ( crown molding, scribe, 3/4 round base shoe, corner molding, and light rail). As our valued customer you will choose the placement of your door handles and drawer pulls then everything is cleaned out and picked up swept and vacuumed.
Here at Prodigy Kitchens we use three types of drawer slides. We have the Blumotion white rails and the Blumotion Soft close
We also have Accu-Ride rails. Accu-Ride is great for heavier drawers or roll-outs inside of pantries and cabinets. While they offer a soft close feature on Accu-Ride they are an expensive alternative compared to the Blumotion.
All door hinges are made by blum with a feature that allows them to be sturdy, easily adjustable, and easily attaches the "soft close" mechanism.
We can provide handles and drawer pulls if you like our selection or if you have special or unique handles please let us know and we will gladly install them for you.
